The World Economic Forum’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2025, created with Accenture, highlights how cybersecurity trends will impact economies and societies.
The 2024 report emphasized the growing inequity in cyberspace, while this year’s report focuses on the increasing complexity of the cybersecurity industry which has been fueled by geographical tensions, emerging technologies, sophisticated cybercrime and a lot more. This complexity has a huge impact on organizations and nations as well.
Notably, 66% of organizations believe Artificial Intelligence will significantly impact cybersecurity, yet only 37% have measures to assess AI tools’ security before deployment.
This gap highlights the challenge in recognizing AI-driven cybersecurity risks while rapidly implementing Artificial Intelligence without adequate safeguards.
