In an interview session with Jeetu Patel, Tom Gillis, and Graig Connor, David Bombal discusses the future of AI Cyber Defense. In his discussion with these top CISCO executives, they spoke about eBPF (a technology upon which Cisco Hypershield was built), attackers using AI, and Firewalls.
In a previous post, I spoke about the launch of Hypershield by Cisco. Hypershield is an AI-native tool that aims to solve decade-long challenges such as infrastructure upgrades, patching gaps, and segmentation. This video includes a full demo of the features and functionality of the Cisco Hypershield.
An intriguing moment in this interview was when Jeetu Patel spoke of a hypothetical use of AI in the future. Patel said, what if AI was trained with data about him such as his thought process, how he talks, looks, and behaves? Then, after his passing on, his daughter could have a ‘conversation with him’ using his AI version.
As mind-blowing as this may sound, it raises concerns about how ethical this would be and the security risk it poses. These Cisco executives share their views on how AI is changing the world, its impact on youth and jobs, and how cyber security should leverage AI to create AI Cyber Defense Tools.
