Seven AI, a new AI cybersecurity startup founded by Lior Div and Yonatan Striem Amit is leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to fight against cyber attacks.

It emerged from the shadows with a $36 million seed funding round led by top VC firm Greylock Partners, with participation from CRV and Spark Capital. This substantial early investment proves the immense potential and urgency of Seven AI’s mission.

Despite not having a product available when the funding was announced, Seven AI has already commanded a valuation of over $100 million. This vote of confidence from top venture firms is a testament to the founders’ pedigree and the transformative nature of their mission.

The founders, Div and Striem-Amit previously co-founded the well known cybersecurity company, Cybereason.

Fundamentally, Seven AI is developing AI-based software that can autonomously hunt for cyber threats, conduct investigations, and take actions to mitigate those threats. This is in contrast with the current norm, where cybersecurity professionals must manually query AI systems.

Seven AI’s technology is designed to continuously ask the right questions, analyze the data, and make informed decisions without human intervention. For instance, if the system detects suspicious network traffic potentially sending data outside a company, it could automatically block that traffic, scan for malware, and alert the security team.

“With attackers harnessing the power of AI to unleash unprecedented levels of cyber assaults, the time has come to equip defenders with the same cutting-edge technology,” said Lior Div, co-founder of Seven AI. “Our mission is clear: to arm defenders with AI, turning the tide in the cybersecurity battle.”

With a formidable founding team, substantial funding, and a bold vision, Seven AI will definitely reshape how enterprises fortify their cybersecurity posture in this new era of AI-driven attacks.
