The company has significantly upgraded its Copilot (AI) Bounty Program, offering security researchers up to $30,000 for discovering critical vulnerabilities in its AI systems. The aim is to improve the program’s effectiveness, encourage wider participation, and ensure that Copilot consumer products remain safe and secure.

The improved program now welcomes both experienced professionals and beginners to the cybersecurity field. Security researchers can earn rewards starting from $250 for identifying basic security issues like Cross-Site Scripting or improper input validation. For more serious vulnerabilities that could manipulate AI systems, the rewards could reach about $30,000. This makes it an attractive opportunity for researchers at all skill levels.

To further enhance the security of its Copilot consumer products, they are expanding the scope of their Copilot (AI) Bounty Program. The program now covers Copilot’s integration with popular messaging platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp, as well as on websites like copilot.microsoft.com and copilot.ai. Security researchers can also investigate Copilot Pro features across various platforms, including Microsoft Edge on Windows, mobile applications on iOS and Android, and the AI-powered search features on Bing.

Understanding the growing importance of AI security, Microsoft has launched Zero Day Quest, an initiative designed to nurture emerging talent. This program offers workshops, direct access to Microsoft’s AI engineers, and advanced research tools. The company aims to build a strong community of AI security professionals who can contribute to future technological advances while maintaining high security standards.
